Manif-Action To Disrupt the Plan Nord

For decades, the student movement has been fighting for accessible education, and now we fight again, stronger than ever. However, we also recognize that for hundreds of years indigenous people have been fighting for self-determination and against colonial theft and destruction of their land. The same neoLiberal fools who think they can raise our tuition have also initiated Plan Nord, proposing to waste $80 billion to promote mining, hydroelectric, and other destructive development mega-projects. Many of these projects are happening on the unceded Innu territory of Nitassinan, despite strong opposition from many Innu communities.

In solidarity with the Innu struggle for self-determination on their own territory, and to increase pressure on the government to cancel tuition hikes, we will be disrupting the Plan Nord in Montreal. This action will plunge us deep into the beating heart of Montreal capitalism, so we encourage participants to dress in the appropriate corporate business attire.
