Forum ouvert : résistons la majorité conservatrice
Des appels à l’organisation des mouvements de base contre le gouvernement conservateur se font entendre partout au Canada et au Québec. Ces appels se sont intensifiés suite à l’importante manifestation qui a eu lieu lors de la convention du Parti conservateur à Ottawa plus tôt ce mois-ci. Mais le chemin est encore long jusqu’à la fin du mandat conservateur… Nous devons travailler ensemble et coordonner les luttes étudiantes, ouvrières, syndicales, environnementales, contre la pauvreté, pour l’autodétermination des peuples autochtones, contre la guerre en Afghanistan et pour la fin de l’apartheid israélien. Nous vous invitons donc, ce 28 juin, à participer à un forum ouvert avec des militantEs de la région pour discuter de stratégies d’action.

L’objectif de ce forum est d’initier une discussion afin de planifier des formes de résistance au gouvernement conservateur et à ses politiques destructrices. Le combat de la STTP n’est qu’un début.

Open Forum: Resisting the Conservative Majority
Calls to organize a grassroots movement against the Conservatives are echoing throughout Canada, and Quebec. These have only intensified following a successful demonstration during the Conservative Party Convention in Ottawa earlier this month. But there is still a long four years ahead of us, and we need to work together and coordinate our movements from students, workers, trade unionists, climate justice activists, poor people movements, indigenous struggles and those working to end the occupation of Afghanistan and an end to Israeli apartheid. This June 28, we invite you to take part in an open forum with organizers and activists from across the region to discuss where we go from here.

The goal of this forum is simply to initiate discussion and start planning forms of dissent and resistance to the Conservative government and their destructive policies (CUPW may be just the beginning).
