Pour l’année à venir, j’aimerais me consacrer à cinq enjeux
spécifiques en tant que membre du Comité aux luttes sociales.
Premièrement, je veux travailler sur la mise en pratique de deux
mandats de la CLASSE : la condamnation du Plan Nord et le mandat
anticolonialiste et antiraciste. L’éducation populaire est une
première étape, mais la mise en place de liens de solidarité avec les
communautés racisées et marginalisées est aussi essentielle.
Concernant le Plan Nord, il est primordial d’établir une relation
solide avec les personnes autochtones et les personnes qui organisent
une résistance autochtone.
Dans le cadre de l’accentuation récente des mesures
d’austérité, je veux aussi prioriser l’organisation avec différents
groupes de la société, comme les organisations communautaires et les
travailleur-euse-s.
Finalement, le renforcement des liens entre les
communautés francophones et anglophones à Montréal, et travailler en
solidarité avec les mouvements étudiants de l’Amérique du Nord sont
aussi mes priorités.

For the coming year I plan on focusing on five main issues in my role
on the Social Struggles Committee: the Plan Nord and the anti-colonial
and anti-racist mandate of CLASSE. Both of these are positions on
which CLASSE has mandates. This can be carried out with both popular
education and material, as well as by taking steps on the ground to
build connections and solidarity with racialized and other
marginalized communities. With regards to the Plan Nord, establishing
a basis of solidarity with indigenous peoples and those organizing
indigenous solidarity will be a priority.
Additionally, I will prioritize organizing with different sections of
the population including labor and community organizations as the
neoliberal agenda spreads in Canada and Quebec.
The final two issues that I will prioritize are continuing to
strengthen anglo-franco solidarity in practice and working on
solidarity with student movements across North America.
