Voici les mandats adoptés aujourd'hui par FASA (Facutlé des Beaux arts à Concordia)

-------------------------------------------------

Considering the motion deposited by AFESH to be considered at the Annual ASSÉ Congress of April 2016;

Considering that this motion calls on certain targeted member associations to publicly prove their feminist positions, principles and practices;

Considering that this motions calls for the exclusion of any associations who fail to adequately publicly prove their feminist positions, principles and practices;

BIRT FASA oppose the divisive nature of this motion which creates a division and a hierarchy of ‘most feminist’ and ‘least feminist’ associations;

BIRT FASA encourage the sharing of resources and information between member associations of ASSÉ in order to favor the growth of local feminist mobilization across CEGEP and University campuses;

BIRT FASA invite its membership to partake in feminist activities organized by ASSÉ and its member associations in order to continue fostering feminist culture and debate within FASA;

BIRT FASA publish a report summarizing its feminist principles, practices and points of future improvement and disseminate this report  over ASSÉ-support (internal mailing list of ASSÉ) in the desire to inspire and enhance collaboration between member associations around feminist issues;

BIRT FASA encourage all members of ASSÉ to adopt the 7th ASSÉ feminist principle;

BIRT FASA vote against the exclusion of any member associations of ASSÉ based on their failure to comply with the AFESH motion;

--------------------------------------------------

Whereas an increase to ASSÉ’s membership fee would allow the ASSÉ to cover the cost of delegations attending instances including transportation;

Whereas this would decrease the burden on smaller associations to cover the cost of the active participation of their members;

Whereas this could favor the inclusion of associations outside Montreal;

Whereas the fee increase will also allow a greater inclusion of anglophone associations through the translation of all documentation, mobilization material and live translation during Congresses;

BIRT FASA be in favor of  the fee increase to the ASSÉ membership fee from the current 1.50$ per student per semester to a new rate of 2.25$.

BIRT pending the adoption of this fee increase at the ASSÉ Annual Congress of 2016, FASA consult its membership in early Fall 2016 via referendum to make applicable the increased ASSÉ membership fee to FASA members.
