Comrades,
The date of the Annual Congress has been modified. The Congress is still taking place at the FTQ Regional Office in Quebec City, but the new date is April 23rd-24th. We're terribly sorry for any inconveniance this may cause. We'll be calling every association over the next few hours to make sure that this new information has been received. Also, a new version of the preparatory booklet will be sent out shortly.
Since the dates of the Congress have changed, so have the electoral periods. Please note that:
- the electoral period for the Executive Council has been reopened and will end on Friday, April 8th at 11:59 PM.
- the electoral period for the national team's committees will end on Wednesday April 20th.
- you have until Wednesday April 20th to submit a motion that will be included in the preparatory booklet, otherwise it can be tabled with a 1/3 vote.
Important: If you've already signed up, it's important to make sure that you're still available. If you're not, it's important to call the ASSÉ office and have your inscription canceled. As a precaution, we'll be directly contacting these people.
So in short:
- the Annual Congress is April 23rd and 24th
- it's still taking place in Quebec City, at the FTQ office
- we'll be making phone calls to inform the members
