Voici un proposition qui a été adopté à l'AG de l'SCPASA lundi:


Be it Resolved that the SCPASA oppose the tar sands.

 

Be it Further Resolved that the SCPASA denounce the parliamentary system in Canada and the provinces that allow an undue influence by big business on public policy, and call for a drastic reformation of provincial and federal democratic institutions in the perspective of localizing power, dealing with the environmental crisis and removing the influence of capital.

 

Be it Further Resolved that the SCPASA call for a drastic reduction in fossil fuel extraction projects in Quebec and the rest of Canada, in the perspective of eliminating our use and production of fossil fuels in the time frame called for by the scientific community.

 

Be it Further Resolved that the SCPASA stand in solidarity with indigenous communities resisting fossil fuel projects across Canada and the World.

 

Be it Further Resolved that the SCPASA calls on ASSÉ members to position themselves on the fossil fuel industry and the Canadian oil pipelines.

 

Be it Further Resolved that the SCPASA call on ASSÉ to emphasize the political connections between the fossil fuel industry and government in their anti-austerity campaign.

 

Be it Further Resolved that the SCPASA put a point on the ASSÉ agenda to give a brief presentation on the student environmental movement.
