Dans une société qui nous force à courir tout le temps, on essaie continuellement d’être “efficace” dans notre travail pour une plus grande justice sociale. Une autre manifestation, encore une réunion et une autre conférence… on lutte pour le changement social jusqu’à l’épuisement, ressentant toujours la culpabilité de ne pas en faire assez. Cet atelier sera un espace pour réfléchir à notre propre bien-être et autonomisation ainsi qu'au bien-être collectif. On y partagera des histoires, des idées et des pratiques nous permettant de créer des communautés durables. Ce sera un moment pour penser à nos besoins et pour partager nos stratégies tout en réfléchissant aux enjeux politiques liés au bien-être.

Pascale Brunet est une tricoteuse sociale et une organisatrice communautaire; dans ces temps libres, elle aime traduire des idées socio.politiques en formes et en couleurs.

WORKSHOP: Individual and collective well-being: Walking Towards Creating Sustainable Communities - 1 pm

Pushed by a society that is always running, too often we're trying to be as efficient as possible while working towards social change. Another protest, an extra meeting & one more conference; we fight for social justice... until we break down and feel guilty for not being “enough.” This workshop will be a space to reflect on self-care and collective well-being, and we will share stories, ideas, and practices to create sustainable communities. It will be a moment to think about our needs surrounding those issues, as well as which strategies are already in place or could be implemented.

Pascale Brunet is a social knitter and a community organizer; in her spare times, she likes to translate sociopolitical ideas in shape and colours.

Resisting the narrative of endings and the foreclosure on ideas, this ongoing collaboration between artists and allies invites you to participate in creating extended networks of self-organising communities and ongoing relational creativity during our final Saturday event.
