A blockade of a lab conducting military research is in progress at McGill this morning. The Aerospace Mechatronics Laboratory is receiving funds from the Canadian military to develop autonomy software for drones to be used in urban warfare. Head on over if you want - folks on site want reinforcements! The plan is to stay for a certain number of hours. For the moment, security has not requested any police intervention, and the cops aren't there.

Un piquetage dur d'un lab faisant de la recherche militaire est en cours ce matin à McGill. Le laboratoire «Aerospace Mechatronics» reçoit de l'argent de l'armée canadienne pour développer des logiciels pour l'autonomie de drones destinés à la guerre urbaine. Allez-y en renfort, si ça vous tente ! Ceux et celles sur place tentent d'y rester un certain nombre d'heures. Pour le moment, la sécurité ne demande aucune intervention policière, et les flics n'y sont pas.
