Hey everyone.
Yesterday, the 12 march, during the protest in Montréal,
organized by a Coalition of unions against the Bachan budget, twelve
people have been arrested. They have been targeted because of their
wearing and their political orientation. The cops kidnapped them from
the crowd and are still detaining them and the Operationnal Center
South. The massmedia are saying that they are charged or maybe
accused of conspiracy and plotting. Either if it's true or not, we
don't have any news from them and don't know when their going to be
free and if they have accusations.
We are organizing a vigil starting at 3pm.
The meeting point is at the Guy-Concordia metro station, at the
Guy Exit.
Then we're going to gather in front of the Operationnal
Center and stay at the corner of Guy and Rene-Levesque
Pass the
call-out to your network and your friends, show up with banners, food
and hot drinks
noisemakers .
We want to show our presence and
our solidarity.
Please call people, send this thing elsewhere, do whatever you
need to do.
Please make sure the word of this spreads - and quick!
We know this is short-notice but solidarity is fucking important.
Conspiracy charges are a BIG DEAL and so
were the arrests. If
anyone can come out and show support for our friends
it would mean
a lot right now. We can't let this type of repression take
place
in silence.
